About us

I didn’t come to the British Virgin Islands with a long-term plan. I showed up on a delivery job, stayed on for another, and eventually found myself running my own charters out of Road Town. Somewhere along the way, I got tired of answering the same questions from guests—where to drop anchor, which bars were worth the dinghy ride, what not to miss if you only had a few days—so I started writing things down.

Most of what ends up here comes from days on the water and nights tied up near places like Norman Island or Anegada. I keep notes on routes that worked, spots that didn’t, and the small details you don’t always find in guidebooks—like which mooring balls fill up first or where the current gets tricky after sunset.

The rest comes from conversations. Other captains, bartenders, dockhands, and travelers all have their own versions of the islands, and I’ve picked up plenty just listening. This site is a mix of that—my own experience, plus the kind of local knowledge you only get by sticking around longer than you planned.
